Strength and Warm-up Routines

What You Need:
  • New pair of running shoes – Terra Loco in Rochester will help you find shoes that are comfortable and they give discounts to HS athletes. There are also other athletic stores in Rochester, Winona, or La Crosse that can help you with this.
  • Water bottleEVERY ATHLETE MUST BRING THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLE TO PRACTICE AND MEETS.
  • Watch with timer – Many of our workouts require timed intervals. The more athletes that have watches, the smoother all of these workouts become. It does not have to be fancy, a suitable watch can be found for around $50.
  • (OPTIONAL) Spikes – If you have been on the team for 2-3 years, it is recommended that you get Cross Country spikes to use in meets. They are lighter and offer better traction on grass than training shoes. These are also sold at running stores.
