Drivers Education
 

St. Charles High School will be offering Driver's Education classes now through Community Education. In order for your student to be eligible for this program, they need to be 15 years old by August 31, 2021, and a resident of St. Charles School District.

Information about the program:

Driver's Education classes will be through Zoom., with SC teaching staff instructors.
May 24 - May 28 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Cost per student: $406.00 (This fee includes 30 classroom hours and 6 behind-the-wheel hours).

Parent Meeting will be on Zoom May 26, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

After the 30 classroom hours are complete. You will need to schedule your written permit test in Rochester. Once you have passed your written exam you will be eligible for the behind-the-wheel training. Training will begin in June 2021. During this time your parent or guardian must provide you with 50 hours of supervised driving experiences. This must be documented on a log sheet.

 

To be eligible to take the written permit test you must have the following:

Original Birth Certificate
Original Social Security Card
If you do not have these then you will need two other forms of legal identification
