St. Charles High School will be offering Driver's Education classes now through Community Education. For your student to be eligible for this program, they need to be 15 years old by March 1, 20, or older, and a resident of  St. Charles School District.

Information about the program:
Driver's Education classes will be in person with St. Charles teaching staff instructors.
Cost per student: $410.00 (This fee includes 30 classroom hours and 6 behind-the-wheel hours).
Stay tuned for more information on the date for the parent session.

After the 30 classroom hours are complete. You will need to schedule your written permit test in Rochester. Once you have passed your written exam you will be eligible for the behind-the-wheel training.  During this time your parent or guardian must provide you with 50 hours of supervised driving experience. 

To be eligible to take the written permit test you must have the following:

  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Original Social Security Card

If you do not have these then you will need two other forms of legal identification
